didn't do good with eating today but i did manage to walk/run 3.7mph which although isn't as good as yesterday was pretty good considering I was wearing fairly tight pants and my shoes seemed looser today

Meal plans are a pain in the a$$ to make. But I manged to come up with one. I got the idea from my mom because she's thinking of doing one of those Special K diets.
So I've got 5 meals a day planned plus calories set aside for a 6th meal (in case I get hungry or go out for coffee or something. Once I get a chance to go grocery shopping I'll start it. Mainly because this way there's less of a chance of going over the calorie limit since we may be going on vacation at the end of the month (my moms just waiting for some cottage thing for people that are going through treatment for cancer/recently finished treatment so we know for sure when). Hopefully I'll be able to get down to about 135 by time we go by following this.

and before people start b*tching about the days where calories aren't even at 1000, it equals out weekly since based on the weekly total the daily avg is 1212 and there are times where I'm not that hungry and will eat less than 1000.
So hopefully I can go grocery shopping sometime this weekend.

any opinions on how much oil I would have had if I cooked 2 small potatoes in it then patted most of it off?

and I managed to beat todays goal (3.4) at walking/running. Got 3.8mph :)

damn bf really doesn't seem to want me to lose weight. He stuck a cookie and a brownie in my mouth today and we stopped at timmies when he walked me home and doubled my calories there (that's what I get for going to the washroom I guess). But I still managed to stay in my calorie range. I just couldn't have a bowl of cereal when I got home.
I managed to burn 230 calories walking but unfortunately my fastest was only 3mph (it was way too hot this afternoon to go much fast and it's hard to drink and walk very fast).

Now for tomorrow hopefully I'll stay in my calorie range, use the wii for a bit (my goal is 200-300 calories there) then a walk/run tomorrow night with a goal of 3.4mph (since so far my best is 3.3mph) and that'd be about 100 calories. Then I want to do the upper and lower body Tony Little videos. I don't think I'm going to count calories there. Then I want to try and do 5 mins each of running on the spot and jumping jacks which is about another 100 calories or so (which makes no sense to me. how can 10mins of that be the same as over 20 mins of walking/running?)

Gained about 2 lbs. Great. But I got an e-reader (it was on sale so I got it for $100 and it comes with 100 preloaded books) so since I was 147 this morning my goal is to be down to 137 before I can use it. Preferably in 4 weeks though and I'm not going to go near the scale until the 4 weeks is up.

Hopefully I'm not pregnant so I can actually keep dieting. My mom insists I am though because I've been having strange cravings and my sense of smell is like, major right now. I couldn't go into the cleaning section when we went grocery shopping because the smell almost made me throw up and I can actually smell my hamsters. Normally I can't smell them unless I'm cleaning them. But my periods are irregular. I'm on day 40 now which is the longest I've been on this year since the longest so far was 35 but 5 days is nothing when it comes to irregular periods right?

Tony Little...

...is annoying. I try to get a rough estimate of the calories they burn and all that comes up is Gazelle Edge and Elliptical & Cross Trainer Machines. Does anyone know what those things are and what they do and why they're all over the place but the calories for his videos aren't anywhere?

hmmm...

So I used outdoor challenge for 2 hours today. I got 9928 ap. I think I may have burned about 500 cals but I'm not sure...but 1 calorie for every 20 ap makes it sound about right because with the running ones each ap was a step and 20 steps is about 1 cal... Maybe I'll wear a pedometer for a rough estimate?

now I don't want to weigh myself monday since I don't feel like I did good this week and I don't want to get discouraged.
So for the next 2 weeks starting monday I'm going to try this (below), then weigh/measure and pics at the end.

2 ltrs water
1200-1500 cals. plan meals the night before (if possible).
do something every hour. I'm on my computer a lot since I haven't been able to find a job so every hour or so I'm thinking of jogging in place for 30 seconds and jumping jacks for 30 seconds 5 times (I heard doing stuff like that can burst your metabolism?Not sure on that since I can't find anything but it burns a few extra calories at the very least)

how many calories does active life: outdoor challenge burn (roughly) in 1/2 an hour (for around 145lbs)? Any chance someone knows?

I haven't been doing much the last couple days. I haven't counted calories and ate cr*p (kfc unfortunately and it didn't make me throw up like it has before). But I did help my sister move yesterday and she loaned me outdoor challenge. So it gives me something fun to do until she wants it back. And it must burn more calories than the wii fit does since I get all hot, sweaty and wind up having an asthma attack. With the wii fit I only get damp and have no problems with my bleeding. And even though I was planning on attempting to run more, I haven't in 2 days. But I have a meal plan for tomorrow and it looks like it should be quite filling and the junk food is pretty much gone. Although I ate an entire cake in 2 days (I think it was roughly 9x9 inches?). But since that's gone I no longer have any chocolate to tempt me. You'd think since my mom is trying to lose weight as well she wouldn't keep buying us junk food...

So I've thought of a fitness goal. I've got weight goals, I've got calorie goals, I need a fitness goal.

So today I went for a walk/run with my mom, almost passed out from not being able to breath (maybe try a couple puffs of inhaler before I go out next time?) and it was 23 mins, 1.26 miles at 3.3mph. My goal: Being able to do this route in 12-13 mins, or being able to run at 6mph by sept 1st (which is about 13 weeks so increase by about 0.2 mph each week) and going for a walk/run a min of 3 times a week.

I'm thinking of trying to learn how to run. I never have before. When I had gym class when I was younger I either skipped or had to sit out because I didn't have gym clothes or shoes or had broken bone. So any tips? That don't require money....

Does anyone think sparkling water could be considered water? I grabbed a bottle thinking it was just flavoured water but apparently it was sparkling.

And I bought a new hamster the other day and she has 7 babies :)
As long as she doesn't eat them... They're only about 2 days old

rip Buddy...and Failed at TMC

Buddy had to be put down today. There was no positive change and he actually got worse. The only thing that bothers me is that his eye's wouldn't stay closed and they vet insisted on giving a play by play about what he was doing and when they heart will stop and all that. I wanted to hit him because he was just going on and on about it.

And unfortunately that meant emotional eating so my mom and I went for coffee (I ended up getting a french vanilla and a cheddar belt w/ sausage).

But it was annoying anyway. My poops been exactly like mustard since I started this thing. So starting tomorrow I'm only going to have fruits and veggies. Maybe every once in a while crackers, bread, egg or tuna. Maybe cottage cheese but I don't tend to get that very often anyway...

Master Cleanse Day 1 (attempt 2)

I made it through today :)
I couldn't hold down the salt water again even though I only used 2tsp (wth?) but I drank plenty of water (almost 3ltrs), drank 6 of that lemonade mixture, and used the wii for 1/2 an hour (burned a little over 100 cals).

And tomorrow I'm planning on trying to wake up early (even though it's already after midnight), going on the wii for hopefully an hour if not longer (my aim is for 500 cals) and I'm going to be meeting a friend (if you can call him that...we haven't actually hung out since I finished school last year) at a park by the school and there's swings so I'm going to try and get there early (maybe around 315-330 to avoid the teenagers just getting out of school) and swinging :)

Hopefully I don't have to deal with him eating though...but his step dad put him on a special diet so I probably won't have to unless we go to his place and he leaves pretty far from the school so I doubt we will.

Master Cleanse Day 1 (attempt 1)

sucked. I ended up getting taken out for lunch and the salt water flush didn't work because I threw it up. So since I used 2 tblsp salt today I'm going to try 1/3 of that and go with 2 tsp. See if that helps. If not, I'll increase it. At least the drink is good so hopefully I'll be willing to live off of that for a week or 2. Not like it'll be the first time I've went a couple weeks having only one thing.

May 20, 2011 (2am)

So I know I haven't been posting here. Bad me. I've lost some weight though. May 9th I weighed in at 150.6. May 16th I was down 2.4lbs to 148.2. So yay me right? (I got a nice new fresh journal for keeping track of calories and have started using SparkPeople again).

This Monday I'm planning on weighing and taking measurements and getting pictures (hopefully in the morning if I'm up early enough to have someone take them in the morning) and then starting the Master Cleanse. With before and after pictures :) Hopefully I can stick to it for at least a week. My goal is 2 weeks though. And if it works and I find out when we're going on vacation this summer, I'll probably try it then too if I have at least a weeks notice. Anything to look skinnier since you can see the beach from the main road... Plus, I'd love an excuse to dress in something to make the old men drool even more :P If they're still alive anyway. Last time I was up there at least 2 were having heart problems.

And speaking about heart problems, why does everyone and everything I know have problems with their hearts? My dog may have to be put down at the end of the month because of fluid in his chest/lungs and his heart is at least twice as big as it should be. And that's providing he can make it that long. If he does my mom and I are planning on giving him a special day before he has to be put down.

Week 1 Day 1: May 3, 2011 - note

Well I'm going to start tracking calories consumed and burned and by doing what weekly. I probably should count daily, but weekly goals just seem easier. I'll try to weigh in and do measurements each week here.
